Healthcare providers recommend that all infants over six months, children and adults, including women who are pregnant, get a flu vaccine. This year’s vaccine will protect against three strains of flu virus. Getting vaccinated not only helps protect you from the flu, it helps protect those you come in contact with, too.
In addition to flu vaccine being available at regularly scheduled clinic appointments, Winona Health is offering Flu Shot Clinics at the following times.
Winona Clinic – 1st floor
859 Mankato Avenue
Tuesday, Oct. 18; 6 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 22; 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 3; 6 – 8 p.m.
Staff will bill to insurance and/or Medicare for your convenience. Participants also have the option of a cash payment of $30. Please note that no appointment is necessary during the Flu Clinics and that those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Children age 8 and under who did not receive a flu vaccine during last year’s flu season may need a second vaccine 28 days after receiving the first vaccine dose. Please check with your primary healthcare provider if you have questions regarding dosage.
