The ninth annual Victorian Tea, sponsored by the Winona Health Auxiliary, will be held on Saturday, May 8 in the historic Great Hall of Watkins Manor, 175 E. Wabasha Street.
The Victorian Tea is an elegant afternoon tea with seatings at noon and 2 p.m. Waitresses in Victorian dress serve tea, punch and a variety of afternoon tea treats, including lemon curd tarts, chocolate-dipped strawberries and various sandwiches and sweets. The Winona Health Auxiliary will hold an informational program about Healthcare Directives on Monday, March 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Parkview Conference Room at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue in Winona. This program will provide information about the need for and benefits of having a Healthcare Directive. The primary purpose of a Healthcare Directive is to allow individuals to retain control over their care, even after losing the ability to speak on their own behalf. As chief communications officer, Midthun will be responsible for guiding Winona Health's strategic planning process and developing the overall marketing, public relations and communications plans and strategies for the organization.
