Winona Health's next Smoking Cessation program begins Thursday, January 7. The program includes four sessions meeting consecutive Thursday evenings from 6 - 7:15 p.m. on Winona Health's main campus at 855 Mankato Avenue.
Lynn Sprain MS, RCEP, and Bob Elam, RCP, a respiratory therapist at Winona Health, facilitate the smoking cessation program. Both have the knowledge and insight to provide information and support to help people cut down on tobacco usage or to become tobacco free.
"People don't always manage to quit the first time they try, but with each attempt, they may come closer to their goal of improved health," said Sprain. "Our goal is to provide information, resources, encouragement and support, because becoming tobacco free is one of the biggest steps an individual can take to improve his or her health."
Winona Health's Smoking Cessation Program will:
~help individuals recognize and understand their reasons for smoking
