Modjeski

Nicholas J. Modjeski, MD, joined the medical staff at Winona Health and will see patients in the Family Practice Department. Family practice physicians provide comprehensive care for people of all ages-from physicals and health screenings, to diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries and referral to specialty care services when necessary.

Dr. Modjeski enjoys the continuity of care that being a family physician provides. "As a family physician I am privileged to take care of people across the lifespan. One moment I might be taking care of a newborn in the nursery and the next managing the medical conditions of an elder in the clinic," said Dr. Modjeski. "I value the family unit and especially enjoy taking care of young families." He also has a special interest in men's health.

A Winona-area native, Dr. Modjeski is pleased to begin caring for community members in his hometown. He and his wife have three young children, and his interests include hiking, playing at the park with his family, mountain biking, playing basketball, softball, chess and playing the guitar.

Dr. Modjeski earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and completed the United Family Practice Residency Program in St. Paul, Minn.
