The H1N1 vaccination is now available for everyone age 6 months and older.
Although they are seeing fewer people with flu-related symptoms, healthcare providers still are strongly encouraging people of all ages to be vaccinated for both seasonal and H1N1 influenza. People who are allergic to eggs or the seasonal influenza vaccine should not receive the H1N1 vaccine.
Children age nine and younger should receive a booster vaccine approximately 28 days after their initial H1N1 vaccination. It's time for those children age nine and younger who received the H1N1 vaccination at the Winona Health vaccination clinic on November 16 or 19 to receive their booster vaccine.
