What to Expect on Your First Day

You will be scheduled to attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) on your first day of employment. Check in will be at the hospital entrance. Please refer to your orientation email to confirm your NEO date and time. You will receive your employee ID badge during orientation.

A Human Resources representative will be available to welcome and guide you to the location of NEO. This orientation will provide you with valuable information about our organization, including our culture; mission, vision and values; and our focus on excellence through Continuous Systems Improvement. At orientation you’ll have the opportunity to meet some of Winona Health’s leaders, as well as get to know others who are new to the organization. You will also participate in a “Meet your Manager” session, allowing you to ask any role-specific questions you may have.

Dress Code

As NEO is your first day of work, please dress in business casual attire (no jeans). If you will be attending clinical or computer education as part of your first day, business casual or scrubs are acceptable. Once you complete NEO, depending on your role, you may have specific attire, such as scrubs, department issued attire, etc. Please check with your manager/supervisor.

Where to Park

You may park in the patient and visitor parking for NEO. At NEO you will receive information on where to locate staff parking and a parking permit which must be displayed on your vehicle.

Winona Health requires employees to complete computer based training (CBT) modules online through Winona Health University. New hires will be given access information at NEO.

Completing Your CBT’s

Once you have received access to log onto the intranet, click on “training” to access Winona Health University. Remember to pay close attention to due dates, as some modules are required before you may begin working in your new role.
