Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for the performance of respiratory therapy and associated diagnostics to include pulmonary function testing, ECG, EEG and breath alcohol testing.

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner at Winona Health you can expect:

  • Intense involvement in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.
  • Practice and involvement in every clinical department to include clinical pathway development and updates, outpatient treatments, and respiratory assessments.
  • Outpatient skills of PFTs, EKGs and asthma education.

    2-4 year degree trough an accredited school of respiratory care. Must be registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), hold a NBRC certificate, and Minnesota State Registration. Must become a Breath Alcohol Technician, obtain BLS, NRP, ACLS and PALS certificate within first year in the position. CPR required.
