Guidelines
Winona Health defines an unpaid student internship as hands-on learning for those students already in a university or technical college program/major. Winona Health staff must approve of their time to allow for mentoring of unpaid interns. Because of the voluntary nature of the experience, meeting application requirements does not guarantee an unpaid internship experience. Our first priority is the health and safety of our patients and residents, therefore, unpaid internship requests may or may not be approved depending on the nature of the request and the ability of Winona Health to adequately support it. At least 3 weeks advance notice is required for all requests.
