The Winona Health Foundation currently offers one scholarship to area students.

Phyllis A. McClenathan Nursing Scholarship: The $1,000 award is available to any individual in the final year of earning his or her two or four-year registered nurse degree. The scholarship recipient must be from within a 60-mile radius of Winona or attend a post-secondary school within the designated area or be a current Winona Health employee. Priority will be given to individuals committed to working for Winona Health.

Complete this application and include:

1. Essay-not to exceed one page-stating your academic and career goals and what you have done toward achieving those goals. Your essay should comment on defining compassionate, patient-centered care, as well as articulate your plans post-graduation.

2. Official transcripts from current and all previously attended post-secondary schools.

3. Two letters of recommendation from individuals qualified to comment on your character, compassion and skills as a nurse.
