Ben & Adith Miller Patient Care Fund
Winona Health is committed to serving the needs of all those who need and seek medical treatment. Annual investment income from the Ben & Adith Miller Patient Care Fund is used to help individuals, who because of life circumstances are such that the added burden of paying a medical bill impacts whether they can pay the rent or keep their car, or in some cases, feed their family.
Benjamin Miller, a Winona area philanthropist, established the fund in honor of his wife. To date, the Fund has paid more than $1.1 million, helping more than 700 families from the Winona area.
Hospice Fund
Winona Area Hospice Services provides care to all terminally ill patients in the Winona area, adding life to their days when days can no longer be added to life. Hospice can last anywhere from a few days, and in some instances, a few years. Regardless of the situation, no one is turned away for inability to pay. That means Hospice counts on the contributions of grateful families and friends to make sure all who request it can die with dignity and without pain.
Winona Senior Services Fund
Winona Health is committed to providing a full continuum of care for seniors in the Winona community through a variety of living options. Lake Winona Manor is a traditional long-term care facility with additional services for those needing special care for dementia or Alzheimer's like diseases. Roger Metz Manor and Adith Miller Manor are homey, ten-bed facilities designed to create a living environment that allows individuals requiring memory care the freedom to pursue their own interests, contribute to their home environment while receiving quality care and supervision.
Watkins Manor is an assisted living environment designed to meet the needs of both active seniors and those needing some assistance with activities of daily living. It is truly an environment that allows seniors to maintain their independence while promoting a sense of community and enhanced quality of life. When making a gift to Winona Senior Services, you are helping Winona Health meet the full spectrum of senior needs. Additionally, you may choose to direct your gift to any one of the four Manors.
Auxiliary Fund
The Winona Health Auxiliary is a large group of men and women dedicated to the mission of Winona Health. They contribute thousands of volunteer hours in all areas of Winona Health and thousands of dollars that allow Winona Health to better meet patient needs.
The Auxiliary Happy Occasion Fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Miller to be used for the pleasure, comfort and well-being of patients and residents of Winona Health. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Miller also established the Auxiliary Remembrance Fund in memory of Mrs. Miller's brothers, Barnett and David Davis. Gifts to the Remembrance Fund are used to purchase health care equipment used by hospital departments.
