Welcome to the Healthy Kids Club -

Winona Health's Healthy Kids Club is a community-wide program for children ages 6-11 and their families. The goal of Healthy Kids Club is to teach children about the importance of health and wellness at an early age. Healthy Kids Club started in 2007 and includes various fun, educational, ongoing programming and educational resources throughout the year. There are three special events free to children ages 6-11 and their families each year.

Geographic area served: Winona, Goodview, Stockton, Rushford, Fountain City, Cochrane, Lewiston, Rollingstone and Minnesota City.

Demonstrated community need: Growing rates of obesity in young children due to inactivity and poor food choices.

How need is determined: Focus groups and discussions with area school nurses, educators and parents, confirmed by review of community and national health statistics.
