Emergency Care
Winona Health’s Community Memorial Hospital has a 24 hour-a-day Emergency Department staffed by dedicated Emergency Department physicians, registered nurses and support staff. Specialty physicians are on-call for the Emergency Department and respond at the request of the Emergency Department physician.
All age groups are served at CMH’s Emergency Department, and no patient is denied treatment. Services include initial triage and assessment; urgent and emergency care for illness, injury and trauma; stabilization for transport to tertiary treatment centers; acute psychiatric evaluation and stabilization; and referral to other levels of care, including hospital admission. In addition, the Emergency Department has a decontamination area for use in the event of a chemical emergency.
Our registered nurses are trained in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nursing and Pediatric Emergencies. Winona Health’s Emergency Department is located near the main entrance of Community Memorial Hospital at 855 Mankato Avenue in Winona. |
