New support group for people dealing with Parkinson’s disease begins in December

Winona Health will offer a quarterly support group for people living with Parkinson’s disease. The first meeting will be Thursday, December 13, 6 – 7 p.m. in the Parkview Conference room on the first floor of the hospital on the Winona Health campus.

This support group is for individuals who have Parkinson’s disease and for the people who care for them. It will give individuals and family members the opportunity to ask questions and share tips with others who may be experiencing similar challenges. Stephen Seltz, a Winona Health physical therapist who has been with Winona Health for 31 years, will facilitate the group. Seltz’s areas of interest include orthopedics, geriatrics and manual therapy.

The group will meet quarterly. Meetings will be the second Thursday of December, March, June and September.

There is no charge to participate in the group. Those who have questions may contact Seltz at 507.453.3765.
