Participants can choose from a wide variety of fitness classes such as Body Pump, indoor cycling, Pilates, yoga, a dance fitness party, competitive and non-competitive indoor triathlons, a lunch-and-learn “Eat to Compete -Nutrition for Athletes” with Hy-Vee Dietitian Alexandra Economy, and more! Most classes during the Colors of Cancer Fitness Festival are just $5, and some activities require pre-registration.
The Colors of Cancer event also features the “Y Not Tri-It” triathlon on Sunday, February 24. Registration for the “Y Not Tri-It” event is $40 and includes a long-sleeved moisture-wicking shirt. Both the competitive and non-competitive triathlon will include a 10-minute swim, 30-minute stationary bike ride, and 20-minute treadmill run. Participants in the competitive section will have their distances recorded and be eligible for prizes. Register by February 8 to guarantee shirt size.
