Living Well with Ongoing Health Concerns is a free, six-week workshop offered by Winona Health to help people who are living with a chronic health condition or an ongoing health concern. The fall program begins Thursday, September 14, 2017, and meets six consecutive Thursdays, 2 to 4 p.m. through October 19.
The workshop is designed to help people who have conditions such as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, depression, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, chronic pain and other physical and mental health conditions.
Participants will learn tips and get help with goal setting and making a personalized plan to improve their health. This may include developing action plans for pain control, healthy eating, healthy activities, and ways to communicate with family, friends, and healthcare providers. The program aims to improve quality of life by helping people manage their health and begin doing the things they want and need to do.
The workshop will be in the Parkview Office Building at Winona Health in Winona, Minn.
There is no cost unless participants wish to purchase the program manual for $20. Class size is limited and RSVP is required. To RSVP, call Becca at 507.453.3741.
