Winona Health Pediatrics and Women’s Health are teaming up to give moms and their tween or young teen daughters a fun opportunity to get important information about physical and other changes that come during the tween and early teen years.
“Rumor has it…but get the Facts,” is a free Health Talk and dinner on Thursday, September 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Women’s Health lobby on the clinic 3rd floor at Winona Health, 859 Mankato Ave., Winona, Minn.
Tweens and young teens may have many questions about physical changes, what they mean and are they normal — and not everything they hear is reliable. This event will help put rumors to rest and provide the right information to navigate through the changes with more confidence.
Members of the Women’s Health and Pediatric staff, including Pediatrician Sarah Lallaman, will talk about these changes and share answers to frequently ask questions. Then, moms have a chance to chat with Women’s Health experts while the tweens and young teens talk with members of the Pediatrics team. End the evening with a light meal and enjoy spending time with your tween or young teen.
Guardians and other adult females are welcome to attend with a tween or young teen girl who is special in their life.
The event is free, but seating is limited. RSVP by Friday, September 22.
