Whether you want to lose a little or a lot—or you just want to develop a healthier lifestyle, Winona Health’s HealthyFit Adult Weight-Management 12-week program can help.
The next program begins November 7 and meets Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. through January 30, 2018. There will be no class the week of Christmas.
The program is led by Theresa Hoyles, a Winona Health registered dietitian, and features information from exercise specialists and behavioral health specialists to help people with all aspects of weight management.
“This can be a busy time of year, but it’s a great time of year to consciously prevent weight gain – and possibly even get a jump on what many people resolve to do beginning January 1. Why wait?” said Hoyles.
Topics covered include effective goal setting and problem solving, label reading and grocery shopping, handling setbacks and maintaining your weight loss. Participants can track their progress through weekly weigh-ins, and a pre-and post-program body composition analysis. Previous participants have improved weight-related health problems, improved energy levels and gained self-confidence.
Class size is limited. Cost of this 12-week program is $175 and is non-refundable. Financial assistance is available to those who meet specific criteria. The cost includes an instructional guide, and participants who complete the program may attend monthly HealthyFit Alumni weigh-in and discussion sessions for ongoing support.
