Progress continues on the construction of a new drive-up window for the Winona Clinic Pharmacy at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue.
Construction began on June 20. The exterior portion of the project will be completed mid-August with interior work continuing through September. The target date for the new drive-up window to open is October 1.
Also on October 1, the two Winona Health retail pharmacies will be consolidated into the clinic location and the pharmacy hours will be expanded. The Parkview Pharmacy location and drive-up window will remain open through September 30, until the new Winona Clinic Pharmacy drive-up window is operational. Parkview Pharmacy customer prescriptions will be automatically transferred to the Winona Clinic Pharmacy as part of the October 1 consolidation of the two pharmacies.
During construction, Winona Health patients and visitors should watch for signage, equipment and barricades as drive aisles and parking spots will be affected. According to Greg Towner, Winona Health facilities director, a partial drive aisle will be open for thru traffic as often as possible, but there will be times when traffic along the east side of the clinic will need to be blocked during the project. The ambulance entrance will not be affected during construction.
The construction crew and Winona Health Facilities staff encourage patients and visitors to watch for signs, and they appreciate extra caution and patience during construction.
