Winona Health expands durable medical equipment offerings

Winona Home Medical, Winona Health’s expanded home medical equipment (sometimes referred to as durable medical equipment or DME) and supplies store, will open Monday, November 5 at 930 Parks Ave. in Winona in a building that was formerly a Wells Fargo branch. The new location is adjacent to the Winona Health main campus, near the intersection of Mankato Ave. and US Highway 61.

“Sometimes the best place to be is right at home,” said Bill Cota, director of Retail Services at Winona Health. “We want to make sure community members have local access to high quality home medical supplies to help them do what they want to do and live safely and independently in their own homes.”

In addition to answering questions and helping people select appropriate equipment and supplies, Winona Home Medical’s expert staff helps customers navigate insurance coverage and coordinate billing processes. Winona Home Medical also will service equipment or coordinate needed service.

Equipment and supplies available at Winona Home Medical include:

  • Basic mobility aides such as walkers and canes
  • Bath and safety aides
  • Breast pumps
  • Respiratory equipment and supplies including: Nebulizers; CPAP – BiPap machines; Masks; Tubing
  • Seasonal Affective Disorder lights
  • Compression wear
  • Physical therapy products
  • Other home healthcare basic needs
