“It’s easy to nominate someone and this is a wonderful opportunity to recognize someone who makes a positive difference in our community,” said Emily Hoff, development and events coordinator at Winona Health.
The Ben & Adith Miller Community Service Tribute is awarded to an outstanding person, persons or community organization who has made a significant difference and positive impact on the Winona region and/or Winona Health. This may include generosity of time, spirit, energy and/or charitable donations.
Nomination forms are available online at winonahealthfoundation.org/tribute and will be accepted through Friday, February 8.
Winona Health will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2019, and The Ben & Adith Miller Community Service Tribute is now in its 31st year. The Tribute was established by the late community philanthropist, Benjamin A. Miller, in the name of his wife, Adith.
In addition to a special recognition dinner at Cedar Valley Restaurant, the family of Ben and Adith Miller and RTP Company honors the recipient with a $25,000 contribution to the Ben & Adith Miller Patient Care Fund to assist area individuals and families.
In 2018, Steve and Nancy Bachler were honored as the 2017 Tribute recipients because of their shared passion for community involvement and a willingness to serve others. Their enthusiasm and consistent dedication has benefited several area organizations, each individually and as a couple. Their contributions and fundraising efforts include sharing musical talent and marketing expertise, promoting tourism and nature, supporting and furthering the efforts of schools and volunteering with local organizations focused on helping community members of all ages.
Written nominations are being accepted now through Friday, February 8. For more information including a nomination form, visit winonahealthfoundation.org/tribute. If questions, call Kris Walters at 507.457.4342 or [email protected].
