Milind Limaye, DO, has joined the Winona Health Emergency Medicine team.
Dr. Limaye chose Winona Health because, “While visiting and interviewing here, it was obvious that Winona Health puts the needs of patients first. I’ve found that it’s surprisingly rare for a healthcare organization to put the priority on what the patient really needs rather than what’s best for the healthcare system. I feel like I’ll be able to provide high-quality care in this kind of atmosphere.”
Dr. Limaye earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University College of Medicine in Iowa and completed his medical residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Tennessee–Chattanooga. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
“One of the most meaningful aspects of my work is interacting with patients and their families and providing information that’s helpful to them long-term,” said Dr. Limaye. “When I can send a patient home with a better understanding of their illness and how to manage it, they are in a better position to take care of themselves.”
In his free time Dr. Limaye works as a commercial pilot for American Airlines, rides motorcycles and sails.
