Lisa McCabe-Evans, CNP, now cares for community members through Winona Health’s Occupational Health and Urgent Care clinics.

After 10 years of caring for patients as a registered nurse in Winona Health’s Intensive Care Unit, Lisa McCabe-Evans has earned her degree as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has joined Winona Health’s Occupational Health staff to serve area employers and their employees. She’ll also see patients in Urgent Care.

McCabe-Evans has been with Winona Health since 2009. “When I joined Winona Health as a nurse, I chose the organization in part because I liked the community feel of a hospital this size and the fact that as a nurse, I could provide a variety of care at the top of their scope of practice,” said McCabe-Evans. “As I’ve continued my education, Winona Health has been such a supportive environment, and I’m excited to be able to expand my services to health improvement, injury prevention and helping people get back to work safely.”

McCabe-Evans earned her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University headquartered in Minneapolis. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Golden Key International Honor Society, National Society of Leadership, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. She serviced as a combat medic in Afghanistan in 2003 and 2004.

In her free time, she enjoys being outside and spending time with her family, which includes her husband and four children ages 3 to 20.
