“After working in the business world for more than five years, I decided to make a change,” said Badenhorst (pronounced Bah den horst). “Being a physician assistant allows me to help people in a variety of ways every day, and making a difference in how someone is feeling is the best part of my work.”
Badenhorst has lived in Minnesota for most of her life. She chose Winona Health because “There is a family-friendly atmosphere here, and it’s obvious that Winona Health is truly focused on doing what’s best for patients. It also feels like Winona is a community that takes care of each other. The people I’ve run into have had positive things to say about living and working here.”
After completing her Physician Assistant program prerequisites at Minnesota State University – Mankato, Badenhorst earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Minnesota Academy of Physician Assistants (MAPA).
In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her husband and children, watching movies, cooking, and camping.
