All area women at any stage of pregnancy, no matter where they receive healthcare services, are invited to participate in Winona Health’s Strong Mommas program. The next session is Tuesday, June 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The Winona Health Physical Therapy team facilitates Strong Mommas, a mother’s guide to staying fit during pregnancy, to help women prepare for childbirth and decrease pain during labor and delivery.
“We are excited to provide information and share techniques that will help women feel more confident, safe and healthy throughout their pregnancy and after,” said Leah Winecke, DPT, who, along with Cindy Teske, PT, will lead the program.
The program will be in Women’s Health on the clinic third floor at Winona Health. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat if they have one.
The program cost is just $10, and the information will be helpful throughout pregnancy, deliver and after childbirth. To register, call the Winona Health Women’s Health Clinic at 507-457-7701.
Winona Health, one of the nation’s Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals, is celebrating 125 years in 2019. That means Winona Health has been taking care of moms-to-be since 1894.
