Rebecca “Becky” J. Wuensch, CNP, now cares for community members in the Urgent Care Clinic at Winona Health.

Rebecca J. “Becky” Wuensch, certified nurse practitioner, has joined the Winona Health staff and is caring for patients of all ages in Urgent Care on the clinic first floor at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Ave., in Winona.

“I enjoy helping patients improve their health and quality of life. I gravitated toward this rural practice because I was impressed with their overall culture, values, and the focus on their community’s health and well-being,” said Wuensch. “The team was so inviting! In a healthcare setting of this size, it is easier to get to know all your colleagues, and to build stronger team-based care.”

Wuensch is originally from Onalaska, Wisconsin. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Her background in nursing incudes several years caring for patients as an Emergency Department nurse. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and completed the Mayo Clinic School of Health Science Nurse Practitioner Residency Program at Mayo Clinic Health System Wisconsin locations.

When she has free time, Wuensch, who is married and has children ages 18, 15, 10 and 9, enjoys reading, traveling, and “spending a lot of time having fun with my family.”
