Happening in June

All About Baby

Tuesdays, noon to 1:30 p.m.

This is a weekly drop-in group for parents to weigh their baby, get answers to questions and meet other parents. New parents and expecting parents are welcome. Join us on Tuesdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Library in Women’s Health, clinic 3rd floor, 855 Mankato Avenue, Winona.

No RSVP is needed, parents can drop in for all or part of the 90 minutes. Questions: Email us at childbirth@winonahealth.org.

Taking just a few minutes to check your blood pressure can make a lasting difference in your health. This free blood pressure screening is for community members of all ages. No appointment necessary.

Raffle tickets will be sold on the first floor of the clinic. Proceeds will go toward healthcare projects for our patients and residents.

Hands-Only CPR Workshop

Tuesday, June 10, 6-7 p.m. Winona Health, B.A. Miller Auditorium, hospital 3rd floor 855 Mankato Avenue, Winona

What would you do if you’re with someone when they begin to choke or experience sudden cardiac arrest? If you don’t know, here’s how to find out: Helen Bagshaw, CCRN, offers a free Hands-Only CPR workshop at Winona Health. This 45-minute workshop will be informative and fun. All ages 12 and older are welcome. Those under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Healthcare Directive Information Session

Tuesday, June 16, 2 to 3 p.m. Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue, B.A. Miller Auditorium, hospital 3rd floor

Everyone 18 years and older should complete a healthcare directive. The purpose of a Healthcare Directive is to allow people to stay in control of their care, even when they are unable to communicate. Creating a healthcare directive does not require assistance from a lawyer, but when properly completed, it is a legal document to help ensure your wishes are carried out.

Winona Health Volunteers invite community members to a free Healthcare Directive informational program. Authorized forms for Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa will be available. Facilitators will answer questions and help make the process easy. The Healthcare Directive program is free and open to all, but RSVP is required by calling 507.457.4342.
