Winona Health’s dietitians offer medical nutrition therapy and personalized advice to patients of all ages with various nutritional needs. Whether you want to lose weight or simply eat healthier, a registered dietitian can help you meet your nutritional goals.

A provider’s referral is not necessary for an appointment, however, a referral normally helps with insurance coverage. We advise that you call your insurance provider to discuss coverage for medical nutrition therapy prior to scheduling an appointment.

Intensive Behavioral Therapy (IBT) for Obesity

Intensive Behavioral Therapy (IBT) for Obesity is a Medicare benefit for people with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher to receive ongoing support for weight loss. This Medicare benefit allows up to 22 brief (30-minute) visits per year with no copay or deductible with original Medicare (however, Medicare Advantage plans may be subject to a copayment).
