As I decided to go into healthcare, I quickly realized how much I enjoyed kids’ playful energy. They energize me and it is fun to play and provide care at the same time. I can relate to them, and I think they relate well to me. I enjoy getting to know parents and watching their babies grow through each stage of development, all the way to young adults. It is so important to have your child be able to identify a doctor they know and can rely on when important or serious health issues may come up, although of course we hope they never do. Having my own kids, I know how fast time goes and how quickly they grow up! In my free time, I enjoy scuba diving, volleyball, softball, hanging out at our boathouse on the river, hiking, fishing and having a relaxing family movie night.
