Welcome Stephanie Lewis, PA-C

Stephanie Lewis, a certified physician assistant (PA-C), joined the Winona Health staff at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Ave., in Winona, Minn. With an interest in healthcare that began during childhood, Lewis decided to become a physician assistant after having the opportunity to shadow one during high school. “I watched her help someone who was having a severe allergic reaction. It was fascinating, and I was hooked,” she said. She is looking forward to being part of the Urgent Care team and getting to know her fellow community members.

“I chose Winona Health after learning about the organization at a recruitment fair. I decided to visit, and I’ve found this to be a team-oriented, community-focused organization,” said Lewis. “I’m impressed with staff communication, and that carries over to patient care. Winona Health’s improvement processes are designed so staff closest to the work can affect change.”

Lewis earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis. She is familiar with the area, as she completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Lewis enjoys trail running and is looking forward to exploring the many beautiful places to run in the area. She also recently discovered that she enjoys refinishing furniture.
