Pediatrician Kelli Ostermann, MD, has joined Sarah Lallaman, DO; Kristi Schulte, PA-C; and Emily Tracy, PA-C, in the Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine department at Winona Health.

Dr. Ostermann is interested in all aspects of child health from birth through adolescence, including well visits. She has a special interest in helping children and their families manage chronic illnesses such as asthma and ADHD.

“I enjoy relating to children and helping them to feel at ease,” said Dr. Ostermann. “I also understand how important it is to listen closely to parents so I can clearly answer their questions. My goal is to provide all the information parents need to make the best decisions about their child’s health.”

Asked why she chose Winona Health, Dr. Ostermann said, “I get the sense that the staff treats people like family. I could see how they have the best interest of their patients at heart. I also like that Winona Health has the resources to provide what people need, but without the huge system bureaucracy.”

Dr. Ostermann said a medical school professor was influential in solidifying pediatrics as her specialty. “He said, ‘Care of children is the greatest privilege,’” recalls Dr. Ostermann, “And it is a privilege to have parents trust me to help with their child’s health. I get to see children grow up. They can grow up to be anything and make the world a better place.”

Dr. Ostermann is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and completed her residency at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Scholastica in Duluth.

In her free time, Dr. Ostermann enjoys reading, volunteering, spending time with her dogs—and all things Disney!
