Winona Health Therapy Services now offers dry needling to relieve muscle pain and improve range of motion.
“Dry needling involves using a very thin needle to stimulate trigger points to improve muscle balance, relieve pain and restore natural movement,” said Stephanie Rae, a doctor of physical therapy (DPT) at Winona Health. She and Winona Health physical therapist Cindy Teske are certified in Level 1 dry needling.
“As a physical therapist, it’s exciting to be able to offer yet another option for alleviating pain and helping people get back to doing what they love to do,” said Rae. “We’re already seeing the difference this technique can make for some of our clients.”
