Winona Health’s November Beards for Bucks campaign open to community members
October 29, 2019
Community members are invited to join in the fun for Winona Health’s Beards for Bucks campaign beginning November 1. Winona Health’s Beards for Bucks campaign began four years ago when the Winona Health Facilities team brought an idea to the Winona Health Foundation. “They said they wanted to do more for Winona Health and the community we serve, so they came up with the Beards for Bucks idea. Each participant gives $20 to the Winona Health Foundation and encourages others to give as well,” said Dani Holtzclaw, director of provider and community relations. After word about Winona Health’s Beards for Bucks campaign got around last year, a couple of other area organizations called to see if they could get involved, so this year the friendly competition is open to community members as well. Here’s how to participate:
- Go to winonahealth.org/beards by November 1. Use the online form to provide your pre-beard selfie and a $20 donation.
- Go to winonahealth.org/beards by November 25 to submit your “after” selfie.
- Voting for the Beards for Bucks prize for Who Grew it Best, is open to all. Before and after photos will be posted by the hospital’s Lakeside Café. Encourage your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers to stop in Winona Health’s Lakeside café between December 1 and 5 to vote. Votes are $1 each and include a chance for door prizes.
- Winona Health will announce a community member (and their employer’s name if desired) and a Winona Health winner on December 6.
