Keeping you and our staff safe and healthy is our priority at Winona Health. This includes providing high quality care for your medical conditions while also protecting you from COVID-19. We are actively reviewing and updating our policies based on recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health and CDC. We cannot do this alone! Below are several ways you can help us do this safely, along with the steps we’re taking. Please be patient with us as we know these interfere with your normal process of being seen in clinic.

  • Facemasks. Please bring your cloth face covering with you. The mask needs to cover your nose and mouth to properly protect those around you. I know how uncomfortable they are. If you don’t have your own mask to bring to the clinic, we’ll provide one for you at the front door. All of our staff will continue to wear them as well.
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze (even if you’re at home and no one is around). The virus can live on surfaces. We are sanitizing items like door knobs and handrails frequently.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based sanitizer. We have plenty of sanitizing stations around the clinic for you to use. Ask us if you have trouble finding one.
  • Don’t gather in groups. We’ve spaced out the chairs in our waiting areas to help with this. Try to not get here too early for your appointment. (I know, I try to be early to everything.) Consider waiting in your car until 10 minutes before your appointment time.
  • If you feel sick with a fever or cough, please inform the staff member at the front door or call ahead of your appointment time. This ensures that you are seen in the safest area for you and those around you. We’ll be screening everyone at the front door as well.
  • Continue to take care of yourself. A healthy immune system depends on restful sleep, minimizing stress, eating balanced meals, and exercising regularly. This is a great opportunity to fine-tune your healthy behaviors.

While we would love to see you in person at Winona Health, we also have virtual visits available if you prefer to stay home. Please ask your provider if this is an option for your type of visit. We want to make sure your health concerns are being addressed one way or another. We’re here and ready to take care of you. Winona Health has resumed full clinic hours and scheduling of elective procedures and surgeries.
