Vaccination clinics a reason to smile

Winona Health’s vaccination clinic team put a lot of thought and hard work into organizing the vaccination process for patients and community members. From calling to schedule those eligible to getting people signed in, vaccinated, monitored and out the door to get on with their day, the staff received high marks from attendees. Our team appreciates all who shared their thoughts. Here are just a few!

I was looking forward to getting the vaccine. They say you could have some side effects, but I’m sure nothing like having COVID. I know someone who had COVID and they were really sick. My husband and I were scheduled somewhere else and then it was cancelled and we never heard back. This went really well. It was fast, and everyone was so cordial! — Mary Rislove

We were pleased and impressed. We didn’t expect it to go so quickly! From the time the call came and we were scheduled, the whole process has been very smooth and efficient. Everyone was smiling and positive. — Kathleen and Greg Peterson

Greg and Kathleen said that even though they are getting vaccinated, they will be patient and continue to take precautions until the vast majority of all age groups can be vaccinated. Then, they are looking forward to getting together with friends, visiting all the great restaurants in town and traveling to see family. Mary Rolfing, who received her first vaccination in February, left this thoughtful phone message:

You begin to wonder if you’re ever going to get it. I am almost 86 years old. I was so relieved and also very proud of Winona and Winona Health for all that they did to make getting the vaccine such a calming and relaxing experience. I was so impressed. Even though there were a lot of people there getting vaccines, it was just a very supportive environment. Somebody did a lot of things right, and I am thankful!
