My husband suffered a sudden episode of shortness of breath that turned quickly into struggling to breathe at all. He is alive today because of the quick and professional care he received from the fire department and Winona Ambulance first responders. Once at the Winona Health emergency room, the doctors and nurses worked as a team to keep him breathing and stabilized until the helicopter arrived. Winona is fortunate to have these emergency room doctors and nurses and first responders who come to the rescue within minutes of dialing 911.
