Our birth plan changed, but our outcome was great thanks to an awesome team!

When I went into the Family Birth Center, I had unanticipated complications. The nurses and Dr. Obi were awesome. They kept the whole situation under control, were calm and reassuring, and kept my husband and me informed about what was happening. I ended up needing an emergency c-section. Dr. Obi and the nurses helped me stay calm and everyone was so caring and kind. I felt that things were going to be ok. Our baby was perfectly healthy. Throughout the entire experience, I had every confidence in the medical staff. They were great. Women’s Health is a professional, friendly department that really cares about moms and babies. They were very thorough in caring for me. One of the reasons I liked having Dr. Obi, is that he uses many midwifery techniques along with his obstetrical care. He is straightforward and has a good bedside manner and a fun sense of humor! And we love our pediatrician, Dr. Ostermann! If I were to have another child, I’d definitely want to be at Winona Health.
