It was tough and painful, but at the same time it was the greatest feeling. Our midwife (Katie Duerr) and the nurses were just like coaches and pushed and motivated me to keep going. After a long labor and an hour and a half of pushing, our James Christopher Loken was born! The feeling of having our baby boy on my chest and holding him is a euphoria that I can’t describe. We would like to thank Winona Health and the quality care they provided to us. The Labor and Delivery nurses were absolutely amazing, and I know we couldn’t have done it without them. Katie Duerr, our midwife, is the absolute best! Through my whole pregnancy, she was someone that I could lean on with any concerns. She was so motivating when I was giving birth to our son and really helped me through the labor and delivery process. And the biggest thank you goes to my amazing husband and James’s Daddy. He was so supportive throughout my entire pregnancy. He was so great during labor and delivery. I have never loved him more than watching him become a dad to our son. We are so lucky!
