Winona Health volunteer Jenny Kahl’s 67 years of caring, serving and giving has made a lasting impact on Winona Health and our community. Jenny joined the Winona General Hospital Auxiliary in 1952 and remained an active volunteer until she was no longer able to volunteer in 2019. She continued knitting baby caps for newborns and enjoyed seeing new babies out and about town sporting one of her caps. She was Chairman of several of the Auxiliary’s (later Winona Health Volunteers) services and served on the Auxiliary board for Community Memorial Hospital. In 2010, Jenny received the Winona Health Foundation’s Ben & Adith Miller Community Service Award. Jenny passed away on April 22, 2021. Next time you’re in the hospital lobby, pause for a moment by Jenny’s smock and feel the warmth of her generous spirit.
