Mother Nature did her part with perfect weather for the Winona Health Foundation’s 2022 Ben & Adith Miller Classic on Monday, August 8 at Cedar Valley Golf Course. We are so grateful for all the businesses and individuals who sponsored, participated or volunteered at this event to support the Ben & Adith Miller Patient Care Fund. This unique charitable fund helps community members who receive healthcare services at Winona Health when they need a financial helping hand. Since its inception in 1986, the Patient Care Fund has helped more than 7,400 people pay more than $14.7 million in medical costs. Special guest and World Golf Hall-of-Famer Dennis Walters demonstrated his skills as he and his talking dog Augusta (Gus), entertained and inspired the crowd. Dennis is the only person paralyzed below the waist who earns a living as a professional golfer. His message: Dreams have no expiration date and everyone should have one. Have a dream and don’t give up! Watch for information about next year’s Ben & Adith Miller Classic.
