Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Jessica Thesing (pronounced Tessing), joined the caregivers at Winona Health. While caring for people as a registered nurse in an Intensive Care Unit in Rochester for many years, Jessica earned her CRNA degree from Franciscan Skemp School of Nurse Anesthesia in La Crosse. She also has a master’s degree in Biology. She is certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Jessica will provide a full scope of anesthesia services, and she has a special interest in the benefits of pain control using ultrasound guided nerve blocks and the benefits of that method over using opiates when possible. “I grew up in Winona County; this is my home,” noted Jessica. “I’m looking forward to being at a smaller community hospital and taking care of people right here. My approach to care involves taking care of the whole patient and ensuring their overall experience is a good one. That includes answering questions from them and their support person or people. I enjoy building a rapport with each patient from pre-op through post -op, following up and checking in throughout the process.” Jessica and her husband have three children. In her free time, she enjoys family road trips, camping, water and snow skiing and other outdoor activities – and reading when time allows.
