Work is nearing completion; but in the meantime, please be alert and slow down in the work zone. Workers are hustling to get things ready. Storm sewer is being installed near Sarnia Street and crews are grading the area. Crews are completing the concrete work by Bruski Drive. Concrete for the roundabout at Sarnia Street has been completed. As concrete work and grading work is completed, you’ll see paving crews putting down asphalt. Watch for crews from Highway 61 to Riverbend. The asphalt requires several layers, so crews will likely be working through the weekend in this area. Next week, they’re expected to pave the adjacent trails and then put down asphalt from Sarnia to Bellview. In the meantime, you’ll also see crews putting up overhead signs next week, as well as permanent signs along the route and then finally painting pavement markings. All businesses can be accessed through the work zone. Remember, Winona Health is always accessible via Parks Avenue South off Hwy 61 near the Winona Family Y. Remember to view the overhead signs at the Hwy 61/Hwy 43 roundabout that direct you to which lane is best for the direction you want to travel after you exit the roundabout.
