Calm, thorough, wonderful care on a busy night in the Emergency Department

“Dr. Watras and the staff in the Winona Health Emergency Department did a wonderful job taking care of my daughter when she was brought in by ambulance. There was so much going on that night. Even with them having to deal with a code blue that had been brought in, the rooms being full, and people in the waiting room that hadn’t yet been seen, Dr. Watras and his staff had kept us moving in a forward direction with radiology and labs that needed to be done, kept us in the know of why it was taking a little longer (it didn’t even take that long really), explained what the diagnosis was and what to do after she was discharged. He answered all of our questions and did so in such a calm, thorough manner, as though you would never know he had many much more urgent things going on outside my daughter’s room. Winona Health and Winona in itself, are very lucky to have him be a part of our community. Thank you, Dr. Watras and your team in the ED, for being there for us!” — from a grateful mom
