Breast Cancer Support Bag gifts accepted at ThinkPINK Color Fun Run/Walk Sunday, Oct. 8

The ThinkPINK Color Fun Run/Walk to benefit local people undergoing treatment for breast cancer will be Sunday, October 8, 2023. Registration can be completed online at Think Pink Color Fun Run/Walk . ‌In addition to the event being a fundraiser for the Winona Health Foundation Breast Cancer Fund, event organizers are inviting people to bring something to contribute to a Breast Cancer Support Bag, which may be given to people undergoing treatment. Gifts must be new, not used, and items and may include: -Lip balm or lotion -Soft blankets or socks -Lemon drops or mints -Chocolate -Peppermint essential oil -Earrings -Gift cards (like coffee shop or yoga studio) -Journal or inspirational book ‌The ThinkPINK Color Fun Run/Walk is an untimed 5K (3.3 mile) event that begins and ends at Unity Park, 860 Parks Avenue, behind Winona Health. Color stations will be set up along the path and at the finish line, and participants have the option getting powdered with pink. Check-in and family activities will open at 9 a.m., and brief opening remarks will kick off the run/walk at 10 a.m. ‌Activities onsite include a remembrance area, fun for the kids in the Kid Zone, information from the Firefly Sisterhood, the Winona Health Volunteers Knitted Knockers team, Winona Health breast imaging caregivers, a photo station and AJ Sound and Light Show will keep it upbeat with music. ‌This Winona Health Foundation fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Fund is in its third year. All funds raised stay in our community to help local people affected by breast cancer through the Winona Health Foundation’s Breast Cancer Fund. ‌Registration can be completed online at ThinkPINK Color Fun Run/Walk.
