Our holiday message to you — We are all caregivers. We Are Winona.

December 11, 2023

Wh Holiday Greeting 2023 Web 1Caregivers. Caregiving. We all have personal experiences with what caregiving is, what it requires of us, and what it means to the person on the receiving end. The holidays tend to amplify an awareness of all aspects of caregiving and remind us how important we are to each other. This includes our families, friends, colleagues, neighbors and others near – and far. One of the beautiful attributes of our Winona community is the connections we share and our willingness to be there for one another. Safekeeping the spirit of community is central to our mission, vision and values at Winona Health. Through changing times, rough waters or calm seas, caregivers across Winona Health focus on the needs of our community. And we are honored to care for you. Our Winona Health Manifesto captures this commitment best, “This timeless notion of unity defined our earliest experiences and will guide all of our tomorrows. Because what we’ve learned along this journey is that we can depend on each other when it counts. And that caregiving, at its best, is not constrained by location, building, or title; that we are all caregivers.” Caregiving is an everyday decision and action. We feel the full range of emotions that people face on their journeys and share in them. And we are grateful for the trust and confidence you put in us to provide care and support as we travel with you. I am constantly reminded of the deep importance of connections and relationships, and how these sustain us over time. For nearly 130 years, Winona Health has stewarded a deep relationship with our community – a relationship that is grounded in caregiving. And that is our shared commitment. This holiday season, and throughout the year, all of us at Winona Health are grateful to be your community healthcare system, and we wish you peace and good health. Blessings, Rachelle H. Schultz President/CEO
