Caregivers at Winona Health are now using the highest quality of ultrasound technology in Women’s Health and the Family Birth Center. The new diagnostic ultrasound technology provides more detail with 2, 3 and 4-dimensional images at record speeds. These high-resolution images of anatomy help us to assess and accurately capture or rule out abnormalities to provide patients with the best care right here in Winona. Having this level of technology here at Winona Health decreases wait time and the need for people to travel out of town. This equipment purchase was made possible thanks to a grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust, which intends to improve access to exceptional medical treatment for all Minnesotans.
