On Friday, January 26, I received a call from donors who are providing sufficient funds for us to keep our dialysis program open. This is an amazing gift that clearly demonstrates our mission of inspiring, recognizing, and empowering the caregiver in all of us. These donors, who wish to remain anonymous, are caregivers at heart and have the ability to support our caregivers in their own way. This donation was made in the spirit of Ben and Rudy Miller families to maintain healthcare in our community. Ben and Rudy were key businessmen and philanthropists who were instrumental entrepreneurs focused on community development and health in Winona and we are all beneficiaries of their efforts. And Winona Health aligns with that spirit as a community owned health system serving the needs of our community. I am deeply grateful to all donors to Winona Health, whatever the amount. Those gifts are an intentional choice that people make to support this organization and the good work that is done in all areas. My heart is full this Friday afternoon that donors felt this a worthy cause and made the decision to support our program.
