Events at Central Lutheran Church benefit community members through Winona Health Breast Cancer Fund
October 31, 2024
Central Lutheran Church in Winona held events in October to show support for those who are fighting or have fought breast cancer.
Events included a walk to Windom Park and back to the church for additional activities like rock painting, music, a raffle for pink lap quilts, a tribute screen and pink pumpkins for a donation.
Winona Health Volunteers who make and give Knitted Knockers were also on hand for people to learn more about this free resource available to all. Knitted knockers are a soft, lightweight alternative to a traditional breast prosthesis.
All donations from the Central Lutheran Breast Cancer Stroll and related events were given to the Winona Health Foundation in support of community members through the Foundation’s Breast Cancer Fund.
All gifts to Winona Health are made through the Winona Health Foundation. To learn more about the Winona Health Foundation, visit winonahealth.org/foundation, or contact the Winona Health Foundation at 507.494.7384 or foundation@winonahealth.org.
