Robyn Whitehead, CNP, joins Family Medicine and welcomes new patients in Winona and Rushford

February 12, 2025

Certified Nurse Practitioner Robyn Whitehead, who has been an Urgent Care provider at Winona Health since September of 2022, is joining the caregivers in Family Medicine and accepting new patients in Winona and at Rushford Clinic.

“Throughout my career, first as an Emergency Medicine nurse and then as an Urgent Care provider, I felt there was more I could do to support people. I’ve always been interested in working more closely with patients to help them with their overall health,” said Whitehead. “Now, as a primary care provider, I’ll be able to do that.”

Whitehead earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Winona State University. Her clinical training was with the Mayo Clinic School of Health Science, Nurse Practitioner Clinical Education Collaboration. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, and her Associate of Applied Science, Western Technical College, La Crosse. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

“It’s important to listen and consider each person’s overall situation to understand how best to care for them and help them meet their goals,” noted Whitehead. “If someone is struggling with physical or mental health issues, I can help them and, if necessary, connect them with the resources they need to enjoy a better quality of life.”

Whitehead is an outdoor enthusiast, which, she says, is one of the reasons she loves living in this area. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, fishing and hiking.
