Winona Health welcomes new midwife Amber Reidt to Women’s Health

August 18, 2025

Certified Nurse Midwife Amber Reidt has joined the caregivers at Winona Health and will begin seeing patients in Women’s Health.

When she first started college, she soon realized that she wanted to be a nurse and work in labor and delivery. “After graduating, getting married, and having my first daughter, I knew for sure—this was what I wanted to do. I had a wonderful care team and a great midwife during that experience, which really confirmed it for me,” stated Reidt.

Reidt provides care for women during normal pregnancy, labor, delivery and post-partum care as well as a wide range of routine gynecological, preconception and birth control counseling and education. She’s passionate about helping women explore their birth control options and supporting them in making informed, confident choices—especially if it’s their first time considering it. She provides care across all stages of a woman’s life, including adolescence, pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause, ensuring support through every phase.

“I’m a good listener and create a comfortable, welcoming environment. I try to gather as much information as I can and make sure patients feel heard,” stated Reidt. “Delivering high-quality local care has always been important to me. My new role at Winona Health feels like it was meant to be.”

Before joining Winona Health, Amber supported mothers and children through public health home visits. “This experience shaped my approach as a midwife and I am looking forward to providing that kind of care in a clinical setting,” Reidt said.

Reidt earned her Master of Science degree in Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky; her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University in Mankato; and her Associate Degree in Nursing from Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical in Winona, Minnesota.

In her free time, Reidt enjoys spending time with her family, running, and being out on the water, especially on the river.

The Women’s Health Clinic is located on the clinic third floor at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue in Winona.
