Kaylie McCabe, MD, joins Family Medicine team

Kaylie McCabe, MD, has joined the caregivers at Winona Health and is now seeing patients in Family Medicine.
Dr. McCabe enjoys caring for a wide range of patients. “During visits, I lay out different options and work with patients to decide what’s best for them. My goal is to create a comfortable space where they feel involved, supported and informed, and to help them overcome obstacles so they can live the lives they imagine,” she said.
McCabe earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth, Minn. and her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Minnesota, Rochester, Minn.
When asked why she chose Winona Health, McCabe said “I like that Winona Health is small, independent, and community-focused. I appreciate how everyone works together and communicates openly to accomplish a common goal. It feels like a place where I can build long-lasting relationships with patients.”
She also has special interests in women’s health, caring for children, breastfeeding support, preventive care and family planning. “I like to get to know my patients as people, not just their medical conditions. I want to understand what’s important to them and how their health impacts their daily life,” she noted.
Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. McCabe shared “I’ve always loved the Mississippi River Valley area, so joining Winona Health felt like coming home.” In her free time, she enjoys hunting, baking, sewing and spending time with her husband and their son.
